Which type of the starters tends to get the end of the stick? And which one is the most pandered to?

All have they're weaknesses. But worst would have to be Grass. They end up with weakest designa and lowest performing competitively the exception of 2.
Fire is mid tier.
Water is easily top tier.

Best and worse of each type:
Grass
>Best
Venusaur
>Worst
Meganium or Serperior

Fire
>Best
Infernape or Blaziken
>Worse
Delphox

Water
>Best
A toss up between Greninja, Balstoise, Swampert, and Empoleon.

as for waters, blastoise and empoleon are both underwhelming, swampert is only decent without his mega and greninja shits all over the rest

Tends to be the strongest and easiest to solo the agme with.
Water is the most common type and there is no shortage of options if you picked something else. Some are among the best period, the majority tends to be still good but not top because there's some other typically late game water type that could outscale them if given the chance.
>fire starter
Generally the second best to solo the game with.
Regional dex fire types and almost always outnumbered by water and grass. Remaining non starter, non legendary fire types are very often shitmons OR really strong.
>grass starter
Worst option to solo the game with. Both type chart issues as well as limited coverage. A few may be given stuff like sleep powder to compensate.
Most games have a balanced selection of grass types with plenty of shitmon and one or two decent lines, but the grass starter is nearly always the best by far. May have to do with the very small amount of grass legendaries.

Fire gets the most final stage focus
Water gets the most alternation

Winner/Loser per gen
I: Charizard/Blastoise
II: Typhlosion/Feraligatr
III: Blaziken/Swampert
IV: Infernape/Torterra
V: Samurott/Emboar
VI: Greninja/Chesnaught
VII: Incineroar/Primarina

Hard to call a "loser" for Gen VIII thus far because Rillaboom is a competitive monster while Inteleon has claimed the affection of the entire female fanbase.

Grass has:

Fire has:
>Charizard getting two megas plus being accessible in SwSh base game before Bulba and Squirt
>Blaziken's mega becoming accessible before Sceptile and Swampert's
>Cinderace getting an overpowered move with Pyro Ball and also getting featured more like in Gotcha and Unite

I don't dislike Charizard or even Cinderace but they definitely get pandered to more while Grass-types are mostly forgotten. I love Meganium and I'm annoyed at how bad they made it, seemingly on purpose

Alola starters would've been good if they weren't all so fucking slow. Decidueye is actually the fastest of the three and Rillaboom, the slowest galar starter, is faster than all of the alola starters.
