Overrated starters thread

I do not like infernape. It’s just such a normie pick due to it being the only good fire type in DP and for some reason it just rubs me the wrong way.

Typhlosion is just bland and I feel like it gets carried by nostalgic due to kids being compelled to choosing the fire type because Fire = Epic. But once you take away the constant flames, which happens in 3D, it loses the only interesting thing about it. It could very well fit as a early route pokemon.

but being able to calm its flames and present itself as a more normal design IS the interesting thing about it
it makes the design much more dynamic and approachable than it would be if the flames were always on
