B) They only sold about 3.5m sub to Home since releasing it, if they really "cut it to sell you Home111", they've done a piss-poor job oftranslating cuts to sales of subscriptions.
They cut it, because they ultimately knew the amount of shitheads who cared about it are VASTLY outnumbered by those who don't care everything created gets in every game every release, when it's clear they struggled to make an engaging game and put everything in-game on top.
