At a point where you have access to surf, ice beam, thunderbolt and more than likely to have 5-6 team members at level 35+. I love emerald but this is a low point, they may as well not even be there.

They didn't actually put thought into the movesets, those are literally just the last 4 moves they learn at their levels, or the level 1 moves in Ludicolo's case.

Yeah, happens to me all the time.
I have issues when replaying that I need to use Pokemon I either haven't used before or haven't in years and skip as many trainers as possible to battle once I actually have what I'll use.
Last time, the first thing I hadn't used was Nosepass so all I had was an underleveled Grovyle.
Time before that and all I had was a Gulpin.

I really wish there was a Brendan/May rematch after the Elite 4. They could be like the Wally rematch in ORAS where after you defeat him in the battle Maison his team grows beyond what is possible to get in Vanilla Hoenn along with a Mega starter.
