I wanted to answer, but I can't really think of a good reason.
They don't really give a shit about games, pokemon is a huge thing with its tentacles in different mediums, the games are just one of them now.
But the fact that they still churn shit out almost yearly, that isn't a cheap thing in it of itself, you would think they would like to hire more people or at least spread them out.
