I like gen 3 and know it's suppose to be a meme, but it's also kinda true; a third of the game is blue, surf music and your choice of Wingull or Tentacool.

Doesn't help that for some reason during this water centric part of the game, You fight either a water themed gym leader or a water themed champion.

besides, gen 5 had a better story, morality surrounding pokemon and a better antagonist.

Gen 5 had a better story but that's not it. The 'pokemon morality' was the weakest part of it and relied entirely on Ghetsis being magically charismatic enough to trick retards into believing him, just like all the other team leaders.
