Reminder that this weird shit is because our sense of the uncanny valley varies from person to person. Most people find monkeys cute or cool or interesting or don't think much about them at all, but some people see them as little uncanny bastard human abominations. Those are the types that like seeing them hurt and in pain, because they're repulsed by them and want them punished for their existence. There's not really much to do about this except just keeping these people away from monkeys.
