do you think he was a good pokemon to add in smash? i found myself liking him a lot more when he got added and now hes one of my favorite mons

I'm in the opposite boat.
I liked him when Gen 7 first released, but the Smash inclusion and his fanbase acting like actual screeching baboons soured my opinion on him a lot.
There are hundreds of Pokemon that could have completely fighting styles unique to even fighting games, so them just opting to add Incineroar and give it a pretty cookie-cutter wrestler moveset was disappointing.

So people here really don't play competitive gaming. Incineroar is great in pokemon doubles. However he is arguably the worst character in smash. Anyone's opinions on either of these matters don't matter.

You all sound like the type of mongs that mash forward smash with bowser or side b with Incin or Ridley. Smash is competitive too, it's not played like a pokemon playthrough.

also even competitive players put him at middle tier at most. lucario is worse than him.
worst characters than him include ganondorf, isabelle, little mac, lucario, jigglypuff, villager (to my shock) and the like

I play smash for fun. I’m pretty bad at it. Incineroar was a pretty good choice as he is a starter with a cool wrestler personality but god there will always be a part of me that wishes we got Hawlucha. I know he’s a literally who mon but I love him.

ehh, I'm glad we got incineroar because most of the pokemon follow the same size and speed. also I doubt he'd have that bad boy feel to his character.

He is the most fun character to play as in the whole roster and the animations made me like him.
But there were better choices. I would have picked Tapu Koko as my gen7 mon

I can't believe it took almost 20 years to get a grappler function in Smash. And he only has a single command grab, which is silly.
Still a really cool addition though. My favorite character in the game.
