Most of the people who worked on Colosseum and GoD were absorbed into GameFreak.
The problem is due to how companies work, especially in Japan, those absorption hires were essentially bottom-level grunts that could only do basic work, and won't ever have any notable influence on how the games are developed until they're just as old, out of touch and jaded as Masuda and pals are right now.

Bullshit, the problem was most were just HAPPY to get into Game Freak. Look at Turner, he went off did Gear Project work as well as actually cared about creating new shit for Pokémon for kids to play with as well as intergrating with the staff around him, to the point they love him and he runs english classes for any interested staff at lunchtimes.
How many gook fuckwits hired from GS got the level of push he did? And if the answer is none, the next question is why didn't those gooks put the same energy into their work and personal development he did? (Turner's one of the few people to have directed MULTIPLE Game Freak games in the Pokémon era, meanwhile the board's asking for a tranny to take the series reigns based on the fact he's not their boogyman)

He's valued exclusively for being a gaijin with different worldviews and experiences that offer new settings to the Pokemon world, especially now that we're in a Post-COVID world so they can't do as many """research""" trips as they used to.
TPC also likely pushed for him in the event anything disastrous ever happens, they can just as quickly turn Turner into a scapegoat to blame any shortcomings or damaging controversies on for being a filthy gaijin that still hasn't fully learned to behave himself.

The staff at Genius Sonority who have been making the mobile games aren’t even the same as the ones who made Colosseum. A simple 60 second look at the staff list will tell you that. It’ll also tell you that the main members are now working at GameFreak as of Sword and Shield’s development. A thread died for this.

Every employee who enters gets the same chances he did to show they're worth a cunting toss anon. If the vast majority of them don't actually do fuck all but 9-5 then fuck off home to their doujins and daimakuras, instead of asking someone from another department if they can show them what they're doing or need help with what they're doing, if they're not trying to create their own game in Gear Project - in short, if they're not trying to show they want to grow as a developer, but would rather sty constrained in the little box they foresaw themselves in, then they're nothing but fodder for Game Freak to work with. They want staff who want to know how to code the game engine, want to create pokémon designs,make music, set the scenarios and story - they want staff to be creative while making video games. Once again, it goes back to 10 lads in a room, unshackled by the constraints of mainstream game development stuffy and stifling, for the freedom of starting work at 10 at night and blasting techno music till the early hours and doing it because it was fun.
