Digimon did it better years ago. The world even looked better. How can you guys be excited for Legends when fucking Digimon of all things was able to make it look much better. I'm embarrassed

Some people are hyped of the changing of the formula, not everyone is blinded and thinks it's the best game ever, just a good decent fun game. Some just see it for what it is, a possibility for GF to see for themselves what should be done for the future of the franchise and change things up. Some don't need crazy shit, huge changes to make them enjoy what they see. Some are just happy to play Pokémon, have a happy life and don't need to shit on others for that :)

Have you actually played next order? It absolutely sucks. The neon green grass also doesnt look good and the hills look worse than legends

this
gamefreaks biggest issue is art direction, especially when it comes to environments.
the npcs look cool and everything, and then they're standing around in washed out plains. it's bizarre.
gamefreak staff used to travel for environment references, but it seems they've gotten nothing out of those trips.

I also didn't mind the backtracking one bit. The maps were too good to not be reused if you ask me. My ONLY criticism is that there aren't a lot of options in terms of Rookie level Digimon and when it comes to digivolutions there are clear cut best options rather than choices but even taking that into account this game has so much fucking SOVL that it will always be the best Digimon game. New ones are just soulless waifu trash.
