>>49255117I was on the hatewagon before release, still think the development used for it could have gone to improving the dog games, despise the forced motion controls, and hate the pivot turning NPC's do, but after playing shit version it's a nice standalone title that I could recommend for 1/4th of full price. People should emulate it so they can have first hand reasons to shit on it when the topic is brought up because it is more tolerable than sitting through Alola's cutscenes. People familiar with the mainline games should avoid cheap strats like sleeping everything, evasion, in-battle items, and (for most things) stat modifiers and using candies for too-powerful boosts because those options are there for people completely new to the games. The story doesn't add anything to the lore and the only post-game is Gym Leader rematches, mirror matches, and shiny hunting. Multiplayer is dead and doesn't even have showdown support.
tl;dr LGPE shouldn't have been made when SWSH released the way it did and they made Surge a manlet, but the fact is that it is made, so if someone wants to try it they should get it very cheap or emulate it and play with self-imposed rules to experience official 3D Kanto. I fucking hate Let's Go.
