The unfortunate redpill is realizing that bottom of the barrel trash like Pokémon is only enjoyed by adults due to the porn it produces. By keeping the adult fandom in a constant state of horny it allows Game Freak to continue to shovel their trash down their throats with no real repercussions because the fandom is stuck with it's own instant gratification. Cooming to Pokémon porn trains your brain into producing good recent memories with the series. Even though you lack many genuine good recent memories ever since you grew up and realize it wasn't as good as you originally thought. The porn serves as a coping mechanism.

This is why the company pushes their waifus so heavily. They know that it keeps the bootlickers happy if they lust for them. They can't directly create porn of them but they can light the fire by producing suggestive designs and letting the fandom take care of the rest. They don't encourage it, yet they don't condemn it either, they're intentionally silent to give the illusion of ambiguity.

This is the true reason why the adult fans never mature out of it and remain with it. Degeneracy is like a parasite that forces it's victims to remain stagnant. You can't leave because your brain forces you to stay because it equates all of the artificial pleasure you've given yourself to it as a good memory.

In this series defense, this phenomenon isn't exclusive to Pokémon. It's pretty damn common in the furry and anime community. Mediocre to downright shit media sustaining itself on degeneracy alone. Quality doesn't matter if you can coom to it.
