I fully expect it to be a 7/10 at best.

But I'm hype as FUCK to see GF doing something genuinely new and fresh with the formula, and I hope they do more, because the basic Pokemon formula has been stale and boring for a solid decade at this point.

Dynamax is the same then, it was just big stronk Pokémon you have to fight. Sure, it didn't take over the Gyms but that like everything, they can't really invent anything at this point so anything "new" is always not really new at this point.

the point anon made is if we follow that logic then dynamax can also be called a copy of totem mons in a way then since the idea of bigger and stronger mon came from here

Honestly the only thing Ive been missing is content. but the thing we actually getting is nice. Is just is too short experience-

So a 6/10 or 7/10 being optimistic sounds about right.
Just to make it clear, I say 6/10 or 7/10 on an actual 1-10 scale, not on videogame review kind of scale where anything under an 8 is already dogshit.
