How come I was the only one upset about how scummy the advertising was for this game? The ONLY time they made visual changes to the overworld was adding flowers to route 1. Then they made sure to show off route 1 in every single trailer so all of the preview coverage would say "wow it looks like the whole alola region is getting a makeover!"

Then the trailer showing off ultra megalopolis which was literally just a hallway

I said to myself if ultra-changes were just a marketing lie I would stop buying Pokémon games.

Honestly USUM isn't any different from others third version when it comes to added content, but when you launch the game, like what, ONE year later? and one of the big news is a Lycanroc recolor... yeah. At least it helped the fandom to realize after 20 years that third versions were always a scam. DLCs aren't any better tho

EA would have stopped there. Pokemon doubled down (ignoring how USUM was already a double down on SM's horrible downgrades) and went to charge for Pokemon Home just to transfer what wasn't cut to SWSH.

You didn't come here though.
Back then people complained about the lack of news about this game and many even already criticized it for its lack of changes BECAUSE the marketing didn't show enough.
