Reminder that news outlets and e-celebs are shitting on Arceus to the point of redefining what open world game design is in order to ensure that Pokemon keeps going in the same downward spiral it's been going in since Sun and Moon.
They don't want a real game. They want something they can mash A through with a flashy gimmick and Kanto pandering so they can make jaw-dropped basedboy thumbnails in order to get views and then act like they didn't just do that same exact thing the next gen.
They don't want the National Dex, or any of the gameplay features that were dropped from Gen 6 on the switch to the new formula. The less effort GameFreak puts into the games, the less things they have to cover. This is precisely why Serebii, who notoriously despises going back and updating his site on old info, dislikes games with bountiful content like HGSS and BW2 but praises games like SWSH in USUM where the extra content is surface-level at best.
