Not only does the game look freaking dreadful, but the content the game offers is also as bad, if not worse, 12 hours to slow play the story and side quests, 16 hours to 100% complete, $60, totally not worth it.

To be fair DQXI's environments aren't nearly as explorable. It's a lot easier to make environments look nice when you know there are parts of it you'll never have to render.

This is why I don't take anyone who complains about graphics in Pokemon seriously. If you cared about graphics, you would have never been a fan of these games in the first place.

There are plenty of amazing-looking open world game worlds, but they tend to have awful gameplay, or at the very least gameplay that barely appeals to me. Red Dead Redemption 2 is the most beautiful, detailed, immersive game world I've ever experienced and that game puts me to sleep. If I don't give a shit about doing stuff in the game world then what's the point of making it look nice?

I'm glad you liked it, but they're not for me. Granted, I haven't played Origins so I can't say for sure but I've played 1, 2, and 3 and I didn't particularly like any of them.
