Mankey is always overlooked so I'm used to it and Poliwrath is in more than enough games so I don't really give a shit.

This. It's very uncommon for all of my favorites to be missing, and even if they are I just think of it as an opportunity to find new favorites. Feels exceptionally silly to limit yourself to your favorites when you're experiencing a brand new game.

Even if they ruin the Oshawatt line, the original should be available from an NPC. Hisui has people from all over the Pokemon world so its easy to justify them having the original available to give the the player.
