I don't really have a "rare" Pokémon in the sense of something like a Salamence from Melemele island's Route 3 but if it counts then I have a few shiny Pokémon have the 12.5% of the 87.5/12.5% gender ratio like pic-related.

This got me thinking about what the rarest pokemon to actually hunt are. Obviously from a statistical standpoint Spinda patterns are very unique but they're not difficult to find.

Shiny Authentic Sinistea and Polteageist are most likely up there.

a level 9-12 shiny Salamance from an SOS chain in SM has to be one too.

It's tedious, but you basically use a GB emulator that has trading to send a Pokemon from the demos to a Japanese copy of Red/Green. Then, trade that Pokemon to the retail versions of Gold/Silver. The Pokemon's moves might have to be edited due to trade restrictions. Once it's in GS, send your save file to your 3DS to use on the Virtual Console version of GS. From there you transfer the Pokemon into Bank as normal, then to Home. There's probably a better way to do this but this is the way I eventually figured out through trial and error

I've never actually bothered to look into it, but do Spinda patterns transfer between gens? If I transfer a Spinda from Gen 3 all the way to Gen 8,will it keep the same pattern?

It is possible, although you could argue that since we're talking about leaked demos that it doesn't technically count. I don't see a lot of people bringing in Pokemon from these demos though, so I think it's at least neat to bring up

Does anyone have a spare shiny cyndaquil from its community day they can trade via home or Go. I have tons of shinys from various community days.

Tried to find someone via Reddit but every subreddit bans trading except for one and there’s some stupid rule you have to trade 10 times before you can trade a shiny.

Right now, I'd say these three. They don't seem like much at first glance, but it's all in the levels with these guys.
The Gen 4 mascots at level 5 (except arguably Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina due to the Sinjoh Ruins event in HG/SS) are kind of rarer, but I don't have those.
Eventually, I would like to get a Shiny Celebi from VC Crystal, but for now it's these guys.

granted i don't think there's a way to check to see if it originally came from home or not through inject but it's still requires effort to get

i got a shiny in silver a long time ago but then had a dry spell for years until this one in x, then i've gotten several more wild ones since then
i almost always get a shiny wingull/pelipper each game though, it's like a running gag at this point

My event Australian Darkrai/Arceus I got in 2008/2009 and some full odds gen 4 shiny pokemon I caught myself:

Oh and I got shiny Regice in Emerald after 13 runaways and I hear shiny hunting is broken in that game so it's probably the most lucky Pokemon I have.

Think I encountered a shiny Slowpoke in a Battle Tower or similar once. Other than that, the first wild shiny I ever found was in Gen 7 - a Komala - having played since the beginning. Got a Bewear, Boltund, and Scyther in Sword, and a Zubat in SP. Much better luck since they halved the odds

That's a damn fine memory to have.
I'll always remember borrowing Pokemon Ranger from a friend who didn't really care for the game, finishing it in a few days and getting my Manaphy egg.
