I think the problem with a lot of megas is that a lot of them look like the regular pokemon with some stuff added to it rather than an actual evolution. Granted I guess whether mega-evolutiuon is as substantial as regular evolution is arguable. Either way, at least graphically, I'm more interested in the mega-evolutions that do more than just give Charizard a couple extra spikes, if you know what I mean. I think Gyarados is one of the better ones, but I think it does look pretty goofy, like they copy-pasted Gyarados' head onto a dragon fish
