What was your first shiny pokemon and what game? Red Gyarados doesnt count unless he was your only find
For me, it was

I was so happy, even though I got him right before the seventh or eighth gym so I didnt get to evolve him for a long time.

Funnily enough I also got a shiny Magikarp in DPPT. I was similarly pissed and never evolved him out of spite.
At least he's a cool gold koi fish and not hot pink or something ridiculous

Oddish in Crystal was the very first one I encountered but I was a stupid kid and didn't know what it truly was and ran from it.

First legit full odds shiny wouldn't be WAY until Sun when I found some golden eggs

It was literally my first-ever encounter in-game.

And that is the day I found out what shinnies truly were . I had red gyrados sure but had no idea shiny was a thing .

When I was a kid I found a Shiny Rattata in Silver, but I couldn't catch it because I forgot to restock my Pokeballs. At the time I didn't think too much of it, but now it lives rent free in my head.

I can never be 100% certain because they happened so close together but I'm quite sure it was a shiny Trapinch in Emerald.
The other option was a shiny Caterpie is SS.
I want it to be Trapinch because Flygon was my favourite at the time and, for me, shiny Butterfree isn't that great because it was male

shinx in diamond. First pokemon i ever caught, was stuffed in a box on accident and I forgot that the PC system existed as a kid. Accidentally got deleted when I reset my diamond for my sister to play. I breed one in every gen after in memory of him.

Shiny oddish in silver. Got it to a gloom but then my save battery died and lost it. I dont know why I was always unlucky with gold and silver as a kid. My batteries would die inside the cart and as a kid not knowing that I would think my games were broken and would trade them in.

Unless it was some odd egg shiny I'm pretty sure it was a Rattata on the route left of Ecruteak in either Gold or Crystal. Funny enough on my first HG playthrough I found a shiny Raticate on the same route.

not technically MY first shiny, but my older brother and i would always get different versions of the games and play together, but i just always liked watching him play games so i'd end up watching him a lot more than id play myself. after BW came out, Chandelure was his favourite pokemon and i remember watching him find a shiny Litwick

so technically its not mine, but its always the first thing that comes to mind when i think of "my first shiny"
