I have to admit bros..I just wanted to try it out as a joke to see how bad it is. Ended up playing 2 hours and got kinda hooked.
Rough around the edges no doubt but I don't think I've had this much fun with a Pokemon game since HGSS

It is but not by default. Once you get access to settings you can turn motion sensitivity from 0 to 3 (default 0 = off). 1 was perfect for me

Its just a short single player romp and then its over. As someone who likes pokemon for the team building its pretty weak

I feel like they hyped this up to be a big new direction for the series but its so feature lite that its clearly a spin off concept they'll drop and gen 9 will be back to basics

Not him but yes, LITERALLY, the game has no anti-aliasing at all so every edge is jagged to shit. GF needs to learn TAA exists, it's the only reason SMTV managed to look halfway decent despite the low resolution.

I played only in handheld a bit and its pretty bad giving me headache but i expect docked to be fine. As the others said graphic is shit tier but gameplay seems kinda fun but it probably gets boring pretty quick.

i played for about 4 and a half hours, thought it would be terrible but it was really fun, also doesn't look as bad as I was expecting and even has nice style in some places like the skybox and evolution anims, my faith in GF is slightly restored

Craft, catch, battle and explore until you do it enough to reach the next story point. Asking what you do in this game is like asking what you do in any pokemon game, i.e. catch, battle and explore until you do it enough to reach the next story point. In this game there are just a lot fewer trainers and towns and the requirements for progressing don't include badges.

I have around 4 hours clocked so far. Are you really enjoying it that much? To me there's a lot of cool ideas but I'm already getting pretty bored. Does the gameplay extend beyond do research quests/missions to unlock a new area to do more research quests/missions?

Because those areas are at least varied. You have new towns to explore, caves, major story events, plot important battles, post game events etc. And I haven't enjoyed the last 3 or so mainline Pokemon games. So far almost nothing of note has happened in this game and it's worrying me. Hopefully a cave or something shows up to spice up the exploration but I doubt it.
