It's not the same, because B2W2 was an actual continuation to the events and characters in the aftermath of the events of the first game, you see how time has changed these characters' points of view while retaining their same core values. (Which was a clever way of recycling the Gen 5 map without being a direct retell of the story, something USUM failed at)
Legends Arceus simply isn't like that because none of the characters you meet are actually the characters you met in DP/Pt/BDSP, but facsimiles who don't actually add much to the original character but actually present conflicting information about them. (And being set in the distant past is just the perfect excuse to have a barren wasteland devoid of any of iconic landmarks of the Sinnoh region)
