But those are long gone, we're no longer in fresh territory. Monsters do not sell, Marketable Plushies like Morepeko sell. and as overdesigned some Digimon can get, they never get into YuGiOh or Nu-Pokemon Legendary/Mega territory where the damn thing doesn't even look like it could be alive.
When Digimon wants to be overdesigned, it's because there's a lot of detail, when it's Pokemon, it's trying way too hard to be cool or epic for kids, that's why we have Ultra Necrozma and the new Palkia and Dialga are.
