Tried with Vsync turned off, managed to get past the Mt. Coronet view, but it crashed as we entered the town--once again, specifically a memory leak. Multithreading is off.

CPU is an i56600k and GPU is a 1070, so it's not an AMD thing for me.

Whenever I save, quit and start the game it always says my save data is corrupted and have to delete everything. How can I fix this? preferably while keeping my data.

Im running the custom ryu build that shows the models on Linux. So far everything runs almost smoothly at 30fps. I've only had one crash in 3 hrs of playtime. I have an amd rx 580, 3700x and 16 gigs of RAM. My config is unchanged from the version I downloaded.

It works mostly fine with small stuttering when an attack happens for the first time and crashing every ~10-15 minutes. Anything to reduce the crashing or should I just wait it out?

Try copying the save to somewhere after you quit but before you reload, delete the save when it prompts you to, close the game and copy the save back in

If that doesn't work it might be that the linux version can't write saves properly for this game just yet

yeah it's a amd 5000 series problem my 3600 works fine and I have the same GPU. might possibly be a cpu cache issue because of the trickery they did on zen 3 but I'm talking out my ass when it comes to that.

Not really sure what the town cutscene is in particular before I changed memory manager to software I just brute forced everything by turning off vsync and restarting and saving as much as possible. I turned on software around when I went to go talk to the cyrus chick for the first time in the galactic office. As for your fps I think you need a powerful PC to really use it, I'm not sure.

I just don't get buying an AMD CPU if you always know this is going to inevitably happen, even if the price difference is often $20, even if you lose 5 FPS, which is now unlikely. You know that everytime you bet against green + blue team, it's going to cost you later on.

Well, I tried saving, stopping emulation and starting again and it worked. But whenever i closed the emulator the save file appeared as corrupted somehow.

okay, I have remedied this by using Docked mode with Res Scale set to Custom - 4x
my cpu was bottlenecking hard as fuck and this seemed to be the change that fixed things the most

Not him but I tried with the special Ryujinx build and I still never managed to reach a point where I could save when getting to the town, even with every settings suggested. It still ends up crashing sooner or later. Yes, I tried turning multithreading off.

I got to the Three Bandit sisters using the Ryujinx posted in the last thread used the emusak for fw/keys and using stock 12.x.x FW

I bumped memory from 4GB to 6GB and disabled multicore rendering and running at stock 1X and 720

Played 6 hours with no issues

Haven't gotten past mt coronet or anything. It seems like it works fine with multithreading off, but my Nvidia 1660ti chugs a lot without it and the particle effects in fights nearly crash it. Neat to be able to play it at all though

you don't have to capture it 25 times you dillweeds you just have to battle and interact with Starly enough to get it to rank 10. for fucks sake, a pokemon game requires you to read more than the word FIGHT and you start chimping. capture some, battle some, train one, READ the Pokedex requirements

"completing" the dex entry only requires 10 of the research tasks. Tasks with a red arrow pointing up count for two, so you plow through a dex entry quickly enough by just catching 3, killing 3, feeding 3, etc.

Handheld mode, if you don't mind potato res. Click the little button on the bottom left that says "docked". My pc would lag and almost crash during every fight docked, but in handheld it's getting decently smooth even during particle effects.

just started, using yuzu. it seems to run ok (with a lot of freezes, but pausing/unpausing fixes it).

i have an i7-5820K + rtx 2060 + 16 gb ram, it doesn't do 30 fps in the overworld but around 20. vulkan seems to run models/shades better.

should i try ryujinx? never used it before but i heard the fork or nightly version is good, does it even run models?

gets smoother the longer you are in town, I think it has trouble loading some stuff in but once it's in it doesn't cause issues anymore.

Doubly confirmed working. Finally got past the Mt. Coronet cutscene and into the village. I had to do a full fresh download of the 1.0.0+aeaa9c5 version and start with no saves. Not sure if it mattered but I turned off autosave and ran the opening with VSync off.

Is it the first time you go into town after catching the 3 starters? If so I don't think there's any settings to fix it, you have to use ryujinx to get past the cutscene or download a save file. Find the save folder by right clicking the game in yuzu/ryujinx and clicking open save folder.

Generally you only need to patch one or two functions for this, unless GF has done some really weird logic behind the scenes. Just need to wait for someone to actually put in the time to reverse it, usually get one within a couple days with popular games.

Fellow AMD king here. I was able to get past Coronet in Ryujinx thanks to settings someone posted in here earlier, but still have no models no matter what I do, even with the fix version.

Meanwhile in yuzu I moved my save over to it and while it has models I only get to move around Jublife for about 10 seconds at 10 fps until memory leak crashes it.

Ryujinx-Fork with recommended settings doesn't fix the model issue.
Yuzu with OpenGL freezes on loading screen, F4 doesn't work.
Yuzu with Vulkan just straight up closes the emulator before anything is displayed lmao

So I changed memory from host(fast) to software and also expand DRAM to 6GB and now the game just won't launch, ryu stays on a black screen. Swapped settings back to default anon settings and works again.

I had this problem. Double and triple check all the settings manually. I don't remember exactly what it was, but I changed one thing, restarted the emulator and it was fixed. It was something as simple as I accidentally left fs integrity checks disabled, or memory manager mode.

I had constant crashes in the first hour
I think it was related to Ryujinx building shaders in the village
After that it's been 6 hours of uninterrupted gameplay and no crashes.

Game doesn't appear to be using the gpu to it's full potential. I've added ryujinx to the nvidia control panel and have the settings from OP as depicted. How else would I get more performance as the game doesn't seem to be running as smoothly as I would have hoped given the specs; unless my laptop isn't powerful enough.
