Gooey with decent HP and good defense should be really useful.
Assault vest can become a viable OU set.

What do you think of the design, Goobros? Im not a fan of the eyes and how thin the snail antennas are, but everything else is perfect.

How will the signature move of HGoodra be implemented in Gen9?

Shelter: The user makes its skin as hard as an iron shield, raising its defensive stats. Incoming moves also become more likely to miss.

I'd interpret the melancholy part as a play on it being more of a slug now. It's more jovial without the shell, but now that it has the shell it's more on the relaxed side.

But the animation are lazy like only GF knows how to. Goodra just becomes the shell when attacking for instance, there's like 1-2 frame of transition between normal Goodra and Goodra in shell.

Pretty useless mon in competitive.
Maybe a gimmicky assault vest set, but AV only worked during gen6 when Special Attackers weren't on steroids and every physical attacker (even defensive) has access to earthquake and a minimum of 110 base stat in attack.
