Been playing the xci and It's not a bad game honestly, provided you play pokemon for the single player at least. Seems most of this board are smogonfags though so they'd reject such a notion. It's definitely graphically rough around the edges but it's easily the game GF have put the most time and effort into. For that alone, I'm considering picking up a copy once the game drops. If they'd just released a demo of like the first hour of the game or something like DQ11S I think a lot of doomers' tunes would change real quick.

This post convinced me to buy it after skipping Sword and Shield. I just wanted something new, and have been cautiously optimistic. I already know Gamefreak's been trash at HD game development, but if they're actually trying to learn something and apply it, then I'm fine with giving it a swing.
