If you isolate the new content USUM brought to the table then Iwao actually did a pretty good job.I particularly enjoyed how he took the commute from island to island and took away the cutscenes/fade to black transitions and made it actual fucking gameplay with Mantine Surf. Say what you want about the story. If you ask me, playing pokemon for the plot makes you a turbo fag. He also made the game a smidge more difficult and cut the tutorial waaaay down. On the whole Iwao's changes to SM for USUM were entirely positive so to see him getting spotlight as the director of this game and the game not having anything outstandingly wrong with it outside of some poopy visuals, it's promising for the future of the series. I think Iwao is the future of the series.
