Triple arrow looks most unique. The pose and summoning of the three arrows is badass.

Because I saw this first, I thought that the other 2's animation will be somewhat on this level. But they r kinda underwhelming

It sets entry hazards. Entry hazards just do shitty DOT in this game. If and when they make it into the main game, it'll be a lot less shit. (although its stats are pretty bad)

It would have been much better for Samurrott and Decidueye's second typing to be switched.

Samurrot being a "samurai" doesn't fit the themes of dark type and fits fighting type better. Plus it could have gotten stab for sacred sword. They just ended up making him into some dark type ninja/assassin shit which would have fit Decidueye much better.

They basically tried making the Gen 6 starters again but realized it was too obvious so they changed the fire starter's second typing from psychic to ghost.

Samurai being super honorabu is a romanticism. There were plenty of dickhead samurai who used their powerful positions under lords to do detestable shit. I'm pretty sure a wandering swordsman heading into a town and freeing the people from tyranny is the Japanese version of a lone gunman going into a western town and getting into a shootout against the big bad. Not to mention it could just be drawing on the concept of a ronin, which literally translated to "wave man". There are plenty of reasons for Samurott to get Dark.

Yep, there were indeed a lot of "rogue" samurai. Decidueye is probably based on those wandering samurai who no longer had a lord to serve (I think they're called ronin). Samurott looks like it's based on those corrupt samurai
