I'm 37, and when I was in my early 30's with that thick body type, I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, poor kidney function, and a fatty liver. My blood work was atrocious and the doc put me on all types of meds. This was despite the fact that I looked like a fucking house with a fitted shirt on. After a year of being on meds and having terrible side effects, I lost like 25 lbs, cleaned up my diet, got lean, and was able to be taken off the meds. Yes I get attention, but it's mainly because people can't believe I'm pushing 40.
tl;dr
Nothing wrong with that body type when you're young, but you can't get away with it when you're older.
