Whether the Looker we saw through all of the games is the same one that got introduced in ORAS or if that Looker already experienced all of that and is going to have a different adventure, is he in a timeline loop, etc.
But fuck, that explanation of staff leaving makes so much sense with how they just completely dropped the genuinely great overarching story elements they set up in Gen 6 and haven't made any effort to bring it back since. There also seems to be some kind of cultural thing over there to ignore someone else's work even at the cost of hurting the game. For example ignoring the ORAS designs of Archie and Maxie, ignoring the actual Emerald and Platinum content even the easiest stuff, and just replacing it with different Emerald/Platinum flavored content rather than the real stuff.
Any Japan pros in here know why this might be the case?
