It's lacking in a number of areas, but for it set out to do in terms of gameplay it largely succeeded. If you fleshed this formula out into a normal core game it could actually be great, but it's hard to trust Game Freak to do it with certain leadership at the helm.

Yeah, Ohmori was the producer and group manager while Iwao is the director. What's more surprising is that Sugimori was the supervisor, so the blame for the shit designs like Enamorus should ultimately go to him, not Turner or whichever other person /vp/ likes to use as a scapegoat.
