More good ideas and interesting gameplay changes but kinda fucked execution? For an experimental title it's okay,
I think it's step forward after catastrophe that were SwSh and BDSP but how exactly it fare against other games depends on how you feel about new stuff and more grindy, basic and quest-centric gameplay.

Like most games in the franchise, it tries things but stop halfway and don't want to take too much risks. It will be a good game but the numerous visible issues won't make it an amazing game sadly, and that's an ongoing theme in Pokémon games since Gen 1.

You're all sheep. Just formulate opinions on your own. I think the game is based and can't wait to play it. I don't need to see what other people think to make my own decision.

TL;DR: Unironically, defending a game or hating against a game on this board is stupid and (You) don't need to convince anyone but yourself that the game is good or bad. You're just wasting your time.

The main reason I hate PL:A is because it just doesn't feel like a Pokemon game anymore. It's basically a Zelda BOTW/ Monster Hunter reskin.

I hate how the main character takes the spotlight of the Pokemon themselves, with how he can be injured and attacked by Pokemon.

See now that's a valid claim. See I'm the opposite it reminds me very much so of the anime. Where they throw their hand to the side to command their Pokemon and they obey them. It makes it feel more immersive, but I can understand just wanting the focus on the Pokemon if you aren't into that kind of thing. My apologies for judging you so quickly, you seem like a rational person im comparison to some of these people trying to force every negative aspect onto the game.

Disclaimer, only played first area with OpenGL graphics but...
2. Between GSC and ORAS for myself. Game feels fluid and the wild pokemon do a suprising amount of damage which makes me not worry as much about a seeming lack in the number of trainer battles
