Has any Pokemon game been shilled this hard? Do people really think the overworld is stunning? SwSh received much deserved criticism, but it feels like people are bending over backwards to praise this game just because it changes up the formula.

And it also adds back a lot of lost and needed features that have been lost since Sun and Moon, so it deserves all the praise it can get.
Regardless of your views, if you aren't rooting for Legends to sell more than SWSH you are on the wrong side.

PLA is literally a generic open-world-ish Pokemon which is a meme thing western nerds have asked for decades. Legends is bad, make no mistake, it is clearly bad, but it will get defended and shilled because it is doing a thing that appeals deeply to the internet discourse.

It is bad because the gameplay is bad. Out of my playtime so far the fast majority of my playtime has been repeating basic captures the exact same way over and over. The world has nothing to explore (bizarrely theyre are locations that look like stand out landmarks but when you get there have... nothing) and is so easy I don't even need to engage with any of its mechanics most of the time, there is a legion of items that you just flat out never need to use.

To put it bluntly, and nicely, the game feels like a tech demo that Gamefreak decided to put flesh out and put a price tag on except they forgot to actualy flesh it out beyond filling it with boring NPCs.

There's a difference between liking a game and justifying the inclusion of only 25% of the Pokemon whilse wasting slots on Unown and abominations like Enamorus by arguing that each Pokemon was "expertly handpicked" to fit with the region. Even SwShills didn't use that excuse to justify Dexit.

20 million? I highly doubt it. BDSP will probably end up having far more sales, not because it's a better game but because of the time it was released. PLA will be overshadowed by Gen 9 later this year.

They had no reasons to cut anything in SwSh because they used same old models and animations.
They had a reason to cut mons in PLA because they made all new models and handful of new animations for every included pokemon.
And considering all 250 pokemon have unique models and not recolors like in other monster collecting games it is perfectly justified because it is just shitton of work

The bulk of the game is reused content. It even literally has -bushes- from Lets Go Pee. The "new Pokemon models" are not new at all, they just have rigged eyes and some got rigged mouths, but those are minor quick changes for most of them, specially people like Bidoof who have dot eyes. Absolutely no fucking idea where you got the crazy idea the models are all new.

Shills aren't real. No marketing departments would spend hourly wages for employees to advertise this heavily to one or two hundred people with questionable results. It's just not worthwhile when you could give a youtuber like 300 to plug your game and reach millions of viewers instead.
