>>49373620 If Pokemon have type for every aspect of the Pokemon world, we'd probably ended up with over twenty different types. That's why some existing types combine elements from possible types that are not exist:
- Normal is the stand-in Sound type for things like Exploud and Chatot, also stand-in Typeless type for things like Ditto, Arceus, Type:Null and Silvally
- Rock is the stand-in Fossil type, even if the fossil Pokemon have nothing rocky about them (Lileep, Archen, Amaura)
- Psychic is the stand-in for Cosmic type for pokemon who based on things from space like Starmie, Lunatone, Solrock, Jirachi, Deoxys, Elgyem, Necrozma, Cosmog line etc, as well as stand-in Magic type for everything hocus-pokus and trick related (can't remember anything concrete right now)
- Fairy is the stand-in type for the Light type (Moonlight, Dazzling gleam, being strong against dark). But it also works as stand-in Sound type for Primarina and some moves, and also as stand-in Magic type (Mega Altaria, Gardevoir, Diancie, galarian Rapidash)
