>>49379158>Every board focused on a specific fandom >/mlp//mlp/ unironically has one of the best communities on this website, even if the source material isn't just as good.
It has to do with how they adapted over the years and how they found this nice balance between tradition and flexibility that allowed creativity to flourish in a board that would otherwise struggle with stagnation. That and using a bad reputation to their advantage while being welcoming to those who were willing to respect their ways, having both a backbone and enough self awareness to restrain themselves when needed.
I know this is gonna cause butthurt but they did a pretty good job for a single fanbase board. While /vp/ and /jp/ struggle to produce anything, resorting to this stagnated state, they shit out OC regularly and organize their own little events ranging from community gatherings to donating to a charity or collectively trolling someone. Even when the show ended it barely mattered because the board was already in a state where it could sustain itself with new content through fanworks and community projects.
They are an united bunch, not because they are special but because they were the undesirable outcasts in a website full of undesirable outcasts who had nothing but each other and raw passion for what they loved.
