Ushered in 3D with washed out colors on models that stuck around for way longer than they should've, put more emphasis on the narrative than ever before while also somehow making it worse in quality, even easier than it's already braindead easy predecessors, and it had a gross as shit overworld chibi style that tainted ORAS (and despite the low effort models they couldn't even be fucked to make every generic trainer match up with their art shown in battles).
