Agree. Especially because they designed an evolution for it, and then decided it should’ve been a totally different species like that shit that happened with Alomomola.

Yes. The eternal joke is that Dunsparce is worth very little despite the preconceived notion that a creature as elusive as a Tsuchinoko in culture is highly valuable, and Dunsparce wasn't the mascot of any campaigns to say "see? we listen!" to warrant getting anything.

People who say that Dunsparce "deserves better" with either a new form or an evolution are totally missing the point.
Dunsparce is based on the tsuchinoko, a japanese cryptid that is nothing more than a snake with a very fat body (and that somehow can perform a real-life double-jump).
This creature obviously doesn't exists, yet hunts for it are a classic tourist trap in Japan. Dunsparce is meant to evoke the spirit of the tsuchinoko; hard to find but ultimately pointless.

They need to introduce a new mechanic that benefits pokemon with lower BSTs. Giving every single shitmon an evolution so it can stop being a shitmon isn't sustainable but at least making the games more like the anime where a meowth can fend off a garchomp can be sustainable.
