I unironically think we need gen 1 legends the most because kanto lore is barebones. Which isn't a bad thing, but I think the birds could use some fleshing out.

Hoenn or Unova would probably be the most fun region to explore from a geography perspective but from a Story perspective I think either Kalos/Johto

Kanto could use the fleshing out as well but im so tired of it.

Apparently the only mythical is Zarude. Galar just needs a game to completely redo the cover legendaries, set it during the time of the original heroes.

The Alolan royal family could be interesting enough, and the region itself is very reliant on nature anyways so a lot of the locales would be largely untouched and still full of the depth it has in SM. Also, they wouldn't need to use mythicals at all, a Legends Tapu game centered around the founding of Alola would be cool enough.

Well, Kanta and Johto don't have much past evens that can be made into a game (They have past events, but Mewtwo running away and a tower burning down probably wouldn't be enough for an entire game).

A game showing the original dragon from Gen 5 seems like a no brainer. Theres also the possibility of showing the war that took place in Kalos, or maybe the Alola region when the UBs first invaded. I suppose Hoenn could offer up a neat story of the first fight with Groudon and Kyogre.

Galar probably wouldn't offer too much in it's story. Like, theres enough to work with with it's history, but I feel like the main story of Sword/Shield is basically a "history repeats itself situation, so showing the past may be a bit redundant.

If everyone is descended from Sinnoh then Kanto is literally pointless. It's not suppose to be "historical."

Unova is the one with any actual backstory, that's the obvious choice. Seeing things like Abyssal Ruins, Dragon Spiral Tower, or the Relic Castle at their height with the lore of how Golett/Golurk & Sigilyth were created.

Okay don't pull that nonsense. You said they'd never add any pokemon to Kanto, they did a remake of Kanto and they added two new pokemon into the dex that weren't originally there. I don't care if they are mythical or if they stem from Go, that wasn't the point, the point was whether they'd add new pokemon to Kanto, which they did.

Now, if you mean they will never premier a new pokemon in Kanto, that I can agree with, unless we are counting the couple gen 2 pokemon that were only found in Kanto.

What I mean is I don’t expect any new Pokemon or variants in a Kanto legends. Meltan might’ve been an addition from a spin-off but I think that one time is the only time they’ll do something like that. Kanto Legends would have the Original 151, any Cross Gen Evos like Pichu and Scizor, and MAYBE any Gen 2-3 Pokemon that appeared in Kanto in FRLG.

Thats fair, that said, a big selling point in pokemon is new designs, so if nothing else, I'd expect some regional variants, or some sort of gimmick to draw in people (granted, the title being about pokemon and Kanto would do that well enough on it's own, but still).

Of course, it also depends on the time it takes place in. If it's when Mewtwo was made, that wouldn't be too far in the past, so it'd be tricky to add any variants.

I suppose they could still do a "Pokemon Legend Mewtwo" and have it take place in a new region and have that be where they found Mew. The only issue is that Mewtwo was made in Kanto itself so I suppose that wouldn't work.
