Are they drops or can I buy them or anything?You can buy evolutionary items from the woman next to the trading post in town for 1000 (M)erit (P)oints, which you get by finding other people's missing satchels and apparently the Ginkgo Shop, too. However, Evolution Stones do have a small chance to drop from those ores you gather Tumblestones from.
I haven't gone too much farther than the first three areas (Aspiration Hill, Floaro Gardens, Horseshoe Plains), but I have explored as far out as that dam past Windswept Run and I've gotten a Thunder Stone, a Fire Stone, and just got a Water Stone all by sending my Pokémon out to smash those ores around the map.
