Why is this so hard to admit? This game has been nothing but underwhelming since its announcement. Like, of course they didn't show off the fucking boss fights before release they look like shit.

You'll only see this to a major degree in the game following Gen 9. Gen 9 is already over halfway in development and is based on SWSH due to having started development immediately after the basegame of SWSH neared completion.

The saddest part is that the Arceus battle is EXACTLY the same, same attacks, same mechanic, same everything, but with more attacks for it to be harder. And of course not Pokémon battle at all.

You can use your Pokemon against Palkia, Dialga, and Arceus to weaken them and make balms periodically more effective, you just don't need to if you wanna challenge yourself more/ you don't think your team is up to the task and would rather not waste items. Why are people in this thread acting like being able to choose
how you approach a boss fight is a bad thing?

you are, if you can knock them out in battle the other portion becomes significantly easier

nothing has changed but people are acting like this is the peak of the medium because you can dodge roll now
pokemon has never been difficult
pokemon has never had depth in story mode battles
