What's the point of rematching trainers? There is no battle facility to train for. There is no online PVP. The whole point of the battle facility concept was to give players a reason to train pokemon after beating the game.

Also, the point of battle facilities was GF gave the trainers top-tier borderline cheating AI. Trainer refights always use the same AI and again, there is no point in grinding out trainer refights if there is no battle facility or PVP to train for.

Why does there need to be a Battle Facility in a game without the resources or mechanics that give you incentive to play it?
Without Held Items, there's no goods to grind BP for.
Without Move Tutors or other forms of exclusive move teaching, there's no moves to grind BP for.
Without any sort of online function except trading and Death Stranding Item Retrieval, there's no leaderboards to incentivize getting the highest streak possible or preparing the player for online battles.
With only an extreme minority of trainers, some of which being antagonists you never see again, there's no incentive to prepare yourself for harder fights with them because there's no rematches.

Legends has no need for one, correct.
Compared to BDSP, again, there's no resources, rematches or even online battling with other players to justify its existence or incentivize the player to compete in it, the Battle Tower expy is ALWAYS, ever since RS, nothing more than a grinding outlet for valuable items, moves and enhancements for teambuilding's sake so that you can compete against other players.
The way Legends is set up, every single resource can be found in the wild and is indefinitely renewable, so the challenge instead comes from navigating dangerous scenarios to get to those resources, especially once distortions are involved.

If PVP is all you care about, why don't you cut the bullshit and just go play Showdown instead? It's free, it's instant, there's no grind to get an optimal team running, it's exactly what you want. Pure PVP and nothing else because that's your idea of "content".

I've seen this parroted so many times and I don't fucking understand it. This game isn't structures anything CLOSE to the traditional mainline games. It has it's own set of goals, different objectives, and That's not even mentioning you fucking moving the goalposts constantly over the course of the leaks. first it was there was nothing to do after the first credits roll and that filling out the dex doesn't count, then its that there's nothing to do after fighting Volo and completing the dex doesn't count, and NOW it's that completing the dex DOES count because it leads to obtaining Arceus, but there's nothing to do after that (which is false, because there's still Ingo's dojo, finding alll of the Unown, and completing research tasks on each Pokedex page).
You retard are literally melting down because the game isn't what you've been TRAINED to accept as a Pokemon player. Sorry something's finally come around that's bucked the trend of the same formula but somehow worse than before that's been set since 20-fucking-13, you massive faggot.

Legends wants you to be able to appreciate the applications of these Pokemon in the new system where they're more than just different skins for battlers. Legends doesn’t need a battle facility to challenge randoms especially when there isn’t an incentive to do so. BDSP had actual boss battles and more than a dozen trainers so it's automatically better. Even Let's Go has more of a focus on battling than PLA, and Let's Go was supposed to be entirely focused on catching pokemon.
