Anybody else pleasantly surprised by how fun the gameplay loop was?

Like, holy shit, building a team around efficiently weakening and catching pokemon, playing a mini stealth game by trying to backstrike mons, the absolute gratification you get by catching a mon with ONE ball..

and getting punished for NOT catching them all, like the original fucking tagline of the series intended

This alone made the game for me, holy fucking shit, I could care less about the neutered dex at this point.
