Why do people keep saying exploration in this game is good? Do they just mean walking/riding around? Because there aren't any cool caves or secrets to discover like in old games.

There’s like one cave dungeon in the game that you need to go through to continue the story. It’s git a couple dead ends and isn’t very long. All the other caves are basically just legendary lairs, just a big hollow room.

XY had Reflection Cave, Glittering Cave, and Frost Cavern, and Terminus Cave. SM had Seaward Cave, Verdant Cavern, Resolution Cave, and Vast Poni Canyon. What are the cool caves in Galar? The Galar Mines? Brawlers' Cave and Courageous Cavern are part of the Isle of Armor and Lakeside Cave is part of the Crown Tundra, not part of base Galar.

Yeah exploration in this game is alright, it's nothing like how it was in the older games, but it's just a different game with diffferent ways to explore the map.
