Give it time for the game to release officially and word to break out when the embargos lift.
It's going to be like when folks found out they couldn't transfer from GSC to RS, or that BW only had new Pokemon until the credits rolled.
But so, so much worse.
Might you know how long people have waited for Open World Pokemon, /vp/? A good guess would be "since BotW", yes, but that merely reignited the concept in a Post-GO world. No, my dear anons, people have been waiting for this since Skyrim and Minecraft. The two games that most notably popularized Open World.
I'm sure you all remember all of those mockups where the player character was battling with or riding on Charizard, soaring over the wide open skies or lands of the mock region. That sort of thing may well have incited premature ejaculations and vaginal squirts with how much of a no-brainer appealing idea that is. Charizard, the most popular Pokemon that people will proudly admit is their favorite, their fond memories of the anime, the climatic scenes in the movies where it was featured in aerial combat or helping Ash make a great escape.
This is the big one that people have been waiting for, /vp/. It's been over a decade brewing and hasn't slowed down one bit.
They're not even going to be able to look back at LGPE, the only Switch Pokemon Game where you can ride upon Charizard (albeit in a tiny, enclosed space, visually represented as only some feet above the ground) in good taste because it's going to remind them that GameFreak said it was "their turn to have a favorite get cut" after they cared not for the other Pokemon who got cut in SWSH.
A storm may brew soon, /vp/. Very, very soon. And it's up to Pokemon Day to decide whether or not it'll last and invoke fury the likes of which hasn't been seen for a long, long time.
Excited at the potential, /vp/? I know I am. Crack open a cold one, sit back, and watch the inevitable social media contempt.
Masuda's gonna be real busy with his jar of bugs and Joe's anus.
