Maybe the game is shorter than other games. I watched a lot of gameplay in recent days and its litterally pokemon BOTW, almost like gf listened to the meme.
So you run around in the overworld and have to catch pokemon to fill the pokedex, if catching arceus is considered endgame then completing the dex is necessary. I think the task to complete for each pokemon are optional but i dont know, didnt see the end yet, they are about observing them doing specific moves or actions either in battles or in the wild.The gameplay looks phenomenal each pokemon have different patterns to spice the gameplay and characteristic animations that make them different and unique to each species. Everywhere there are pokemon that will attack you even by surprise so thats where the fights are and since lots of them can crush you theres a need to have 6 pokemon. There are a few trainer, the rivals and leaders from the clan you can found. Its a mix of BOTW, pokemon snap and just enough of pokemon like the turn base element still around with the different stats and all.
