I'm talking about visuals. PLA looks like utter shit compared to SWSH. I don't care how you cope about muh exploration, which doesn't even really exist in PLA, it looks much worse than SWSH.

PLA clearly didn't get the same level of money, time and attention, it's a spin-off. It's still more fun than SwSh though, outside of Dmax Adventures which was a really good concept.

Yeah, the visuals that haven't looked explicitly good since BW2 anyway.
Legends is at least a good game to compensate. And it certainly looks better than SWSH.

Also, another reason is the camera which is not near the player but instead is zoomed out and fixed on the area (so far away that you can't notice how horrible textures look like)

If you're asking why: I'm almost certain it's because the game was already made with SwSh's already-shitty engine, now add more complex terrain that is actually interactable (Sneazler) and the overworld mons have much more animations going on. If you play the game with the Ryujinx log you'll see how much loading and offloading is going on the game every second, in order to not risk performance the terrain and props had to take a hit so that the Pokémon (the main focus of the game) look as good as possible.
However, despite all that, the game it's inexcusable for a company like TPC to deliver such an ugly looking game. GF is a terrible company lmao.

SWSH maps are loaded chunk by chunk since that it has a fixed camera.
That's also why the graphics and performance in the Wild Area is utterly shit.
Game Freak is just bad at optimization, they're the worst AAA studio out there right now
