The backlog is the problem, it *has* to be done piecemeal, there is not an accountant on the planet that would give the go-ahead to quadrupling *or more* the budget to revamp every Pokemon to a similar raw model standard.
/vp/'s expectations seem extremely stuck on Pokemon's raw revenue as a franchise, never really caring about Game Freak having undergone very nearly no staff growth in the last decade. They can't do 3d well because the higher-ups refuse the necessary dramatic expansion of workers.
What /vp/ doesn't understand is that *Game Freak* has remained the small handheld company responsible for Red and Blue versions right up to now. They've never translated those profits into workforce, because their higher-ups are so insistent on maintaining the corporate culture.
