>>49439748>Why?Because it's actually reasonable and something everyone can experience. Again, it took me over 3000 hours to see even ONE out of the hundreds of Pokemon shiny naturally. ONE. That's absolute horseshit of the highest degree. Again, you're basically making it so no one ever sees these hundreds of different recolors potentially ever at the rates we have now.
Who do the current rates benefit? People willing to devote weeks if not months to constantly riding in circles and releasing Pokemon? You have a realistic chance of never seeing one in your entire life with the rates we have now.
>I've been playing this game for a week, and I've come across 5 random shinies without even trying.Out of a total of 240 Pokemon. Wow, you found 2.08% of the entire Pokedex in how many hours? Several dozen? Hell, let's say you got that much in SWSH with DLC, that's 0.75% of the entire Pokedex including variants. You act as if you found the entire list of Pokemon. You act as if these aren't still extremely rare occurrences (Which they are.)
Honestly, what do you people gain out of defending the current rates? These are still rare variants, it's just more reasonable for the average person to see at least one nowadays. You shouldn't go entire generations not seeing one, that's ridiculous. Without datamining you wouldn't even know what any of them look like to hunt for them in the first place.
