op, this is not a traditional pokemon game, stop treating it as such. Especially with no PVP you are gonna miss out on using the other mons if you lock yourself to just 6 mons.

Might mix in Goodra too, depending how easy it is to train 6+ pokemon.

Honorary mention goes to Avalugg and Electrode, who just kind of suck, especially the latter

Can I confirm that Calm Mind boosts both offenses and both defenses? It's just for three turns though right?

I plan to swap out here and there as necessary, like >>49420272 suggested, but I also plan to have a 'main combat team' for story shit. This is that. Mostly all new stuff, though Garchomp is also here because it's the only Pseudo I've never used in a story run, and I figure there's no time like the present.

Something I didn't think about till I took another look at it, but funnily enough this squad shares 4/6 with my W2 team from when I did a run-through of it last year. Samurott, Arcanine, Braviary and Zoroark. Kinda neat to run an old squad with some new tricks.

OP here. I totally am gonna rotate during the core campaign and then will use a more "permanent" team for more exploration, whatever post game there is, cleaning other research/quests/battles etc. I have been playing the game and enjoying it, it's just I tend to get "attached" to some designs and creatures even if they're just digital bits of data.
In any case I do plan to rotate this with another team of six I really like!

Less a set in stone team than a list of the 6 Pokemon I most want to try out. Decidueye may as well be a stand-in for all the starters available in the game - I'll use whichever I'm feeling when I'm rotating the others. I imagine I'll be dipping into some personally nostalgic DP picks as well - Garchomp, Staraptor, Gallade to name just a few.
I remember in SuMo I pretty much had 5 main guys and a rotating 6th slot. SwSh - I think only 3 or 4 stuck around consistently and even then, there were long stretches where I'd drop everyone for an entirely fresh team. If we're going to be catching literally everything in PLA, I'll probably be coming out of each box trip with a new set of mons.

It's really good, shelter is an insane set up move and it's got good stats and a great typing, can be a physical (100 attack) or special (110 sp. attack) attacker although it's special attack is a bit higher, it doesn't get a great special steel move that doesn't do a lot of recoil, gets iron head through level up. It's certainly better than male basculegion and overqwil have it though, with no physical ghost or dark moves respectively and their more mediocre/bad special attack stats. Fortunately this game replaced the ev system and now it's more like it was in Gen 1/2 and you can max out every stat on a pokemon so it's not all that terrible

also I have used lucario too much in all my platinum playthroughs same for garchomp so I don't really want to use them again in another sinnoh game
