I like Gen 2 a lot since it really feels like a sequel. I’m probably say chansey looks very huggable. I would search for her after a bad day at work

Johto definitely gives the most comfy vibes. The setting is very believable somehow. I think it also has something to do with the fact that the story didn’t have these very intense epic legendary moments like in later gens. Keeps it feeling simple and comfy.

Gen 2 is my favorite and it's the comfiest for me. All gens are comfy to some extent, but GSC are like a mental refuge to me. These days I'm all about trying to live a comfy, peaceful life and Pokemon serves as great inspiration.

It's hard to say but the expansions to the Arceus lore we've learned from PLA has been interesting to read about the past couple days

Not my favourite (though it's up there) but has to go to HGSS - Johto's design and colour scheme and following Pokemon is such a good combination. PLA does look comfy sometimes so could be a contender.

Probably ancient Sinnoh myths in Canalave Library. As someone who is interested in Greek myths, I think having some Pokemon myths is quite interesting!

Gen 4 definitely! Maybe gen 3 and 5 as well.

probably 5. i think the seasons helped!

Off the top of my head, the Sinjoh Ruins in HGSS. I thought it was cool how they retroactively gave Unown and the Ruins of Alph more significance.

Probably Kalos. There's a-lot of places in the game where you can just sit down, and sometimes you get a neat camera view of the region's landmarks. I always do that whenever I save the game.

Pokemon has been a part of my life since childhood, and while, after ~SM I more or less stopped playing the games (though I'm looking forward to PLA) because they've continued to be disappointments, what's kept me into the series has been the beautiful art people are inspired to make for it - and in part, the implications of the pokemon world itself. It seems like it would be such a great place to live in, and there's so much potential for great stories and games in it. That's part of what makes it so disappointing that GF has fucked it up so much.

But this is a comfy thread
